Stella d' Oro Day Lily
Stella d'Oro, Hemerocallis ‘Stella De Oro’, is the most popular of all daylilies. By far one of the most prolonged blooms, Stella d'Oro has golden-yellow flowers with a rosy gold throat that spans 2 1/2". This lovely daylily requires very little maintenance and is cold-hardy to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Daylily Stella d’Oro tolerates partial shade, but they grow best in full sun. The blooms of Stella D’Oro Daylilies start in late May and will continue to reblossom into early fall (reblossoming best if deadheaded). Winner of the 1985 American Hemerocallis Society Silver Stout Medal award (AHS' highest honor) as well as 1982 Award of Merit, 1979 American Daylily Society Honorable Mention, and 1979 Donn Fischer Memorial Cup! The flowers are edible!
